About the Illustration

The illustration featured the two favourites for the tournament, the England women's national team and the Spain women's national team, spotlighting Lauren James and Aitana Bonmati against a backdrop of the Swiss Alps. It was a bold, celebratory composition that captured the anticipation around the tournament.

Looking back, it feels like I had a crystal ball while creating it, having illustrated the two teams I believed would reach the final before a ball was even kicked.
